We are lucky to have a very good and generous close friend, Dan McCarthy, who owns a cabin in North Conway. This weekend he let us use the cabin for a couple of nights so we could all get away. (He rents it out normally and I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a great place to stay in North Conway NH.)
One of the highlights was Echo Lake State park, which by the way is a short walk from the cabin! The visit led to a big milestone! For the first time ever Zach STOOD UP! He’s pulled up a thousand times by now, but he has never stood himself up without any help. The sand on the beach was pretty course, and he didn’t seem to like the feeling on his knees so he was crawling on his hands and feet. Then he bent the knees lifted his hands off the ground, and straightened all the way up! He didn’t even notice he had done it, and after a few seconds sat himself right back down on his bum, but Matt and I noticed and cheered right there on the beach.
Of course we didn’t catch that on film, but I did get some pictures of Zach enjoying the water with Daddy!
