Oh darn!

Changed Zach’s diaper this morning and he put his own foot in his mouth. In fact he tried hard for both at once. No camera nearby Of COURSE! His face looked a little like this though. Continue reading →

Zachary Turns Two! (Weeks)

Zachary 2 weeksOkay, it’s not exactly a milestone birthday, still I am finding it hard to believe that it’s been two weeks already AND that it’s only been two weeks! Time is flying by, but I’m trying to remember three weeks ago, when Matt and I had infinite time to watch movies and read, and play games… I just can’t recall what that was like.

Zachary has made these two weeks count, that is for sure. We had his two weeks check-up. He’s grown an inch longer, and is up to 9 pounds 4.5 ounces from his eight pound birth weight. No wonder I feel like all I do is nurse him!   This boy loves to eat.

Mom and dad have learned many lessons, not the least of which is where Zach likes to sleep, and where he doesn’t. We’ve had numerous accidents… exploding diapers, pee in the face, and sheets that need changing at 3AM due to spit up. We learned that the baby will eat too much too fast if we let him, and that turns out bad for everybody. Zachary has learned to recognize momma and daddy’s voices and I’m sure it won’t be long before he recognizes his grandparents and aunts and uncles too. He has also already been to his first wedding, which he slept through, typical little boy.
