Matt had to work late the other night and Zach and I had a nice evening together. We played a lot, read books, and had a great dinner. After dinner it was bathtime for Zachary! Zach was having a great time in the tub. He was dumping water on his head, splashing and laughing out loud until suddenly he stopped and mad THAT face (see picture). After 11.89 months I know very well what that face means!
I grabbed him out of the tub, but it was too late. There was poop in the tub. I threw a towel around the baby and grabbed the cup he had been playing with. I managed to scoop up a large amount of it right away, but the rest was swiftly spreading itself throughout the tub. I took a deep breath and reached in to pull the plug on the poopy water.
The I dumped the poop in the cup into the toilet.
At that point I took a breath and turned back to check on the baby. He had, of course thrown off him towel and was standing proudly in the middle of the room… peeing abundantly on the floor. I gasped, and he laughed out loud, and plopped himself down in the puddle.
Needless to say there was a lot to do before bed, but daddy thought the story was hilarious. Potty humor, good for boys of all ages.
God, that poop face is hilarious, it makes me laugh every time I see it.
